If a man really wants to marry you, wouldn’t he start saving money for a home or the wedding?

My friend wants to marry her boyfriend and they have discussed this. However, he hasn’t made ANY attempts at saving or doing something to prepare. He spends most of his money on his “toys” and activities. Does he want to marry her?
Well, they are both in their late 20s. And it’s not so much as paying for the wedding, but just preparing for at least an apartment, a small honeymoon, just something that shows he is going to be responsible with money. Ex. instead of spending $500 on sport shoes, why not use that for household savings? And he doesn’t spend hardly any on her and she’s NOT money hungry.

ok NORMALY the guys pays and takes care of the girl and for the wedding bit girl pays for the wedding genreally and the guy pays for the homecoming
