Sky+ subsciption – is their offer good or should I stay put?
I have been toying with the idea of leaving Sky and going to Virgin, mainly because of the Virgin 20mb broadband and V+ box (free install but £5 a month for the box). Total package £49.50 a month inc Satanta Sports, V+, 24/7 land line calls and 20mb broadband.
I have a 6 mix package with Sky for £21.50, £5 for my 8mb broadband (although the fastest I can get is 6mb on my phone line) £5 for Sky Talk and £10 a month line rental (so £41.50 a month).
Sky have just called me and offered me the Sky+ box for £109 installed which is £90 less than their web offer.
I would like a Sky+ box but the offer doesn’t seem fantastic.
What is your opinion – also, what is the 20mb broadband like if you’ve experienced it?
I had same phone call from Sky and told them “too expensive am looking at Freesat for a one off payment and no subscription” they ended up letting me have Sky+ for £49 installed, I would try to avoid Setanta as their customer service stinks and trying to cancel their contracts is a real pain in the ar$e.
Sorry, can’t help with 20mb broadband.
