What are some good toys for a dog to play with?

In a previous question of mine, somebody said that raw-hides were not good to buy, another person said to buy a kong (I think I will), and many people said ‘chew toys’. What sorts of any toys: hard toys, chew toys, etc. should I buy? Any suggestions are appreciated very much

Kongs are great, especially the one shaped kind of like a cone with a space for hiding treats inside. My dog also loves his rope for chewing and playing. Balls are also fun, as long as they’re the right size and material.
