is there a good music editing / recording software for linux based os?

i loooovvveee the the new os i put on my toy desktop– if my internet desktop was not already in extensive use i would change from all microsoft products… however i had cakewalk 7 and 9 i cant find a linux editing software for freespire— can anyone help?
