Roy’s Toy

My Hamster’s teeth are getting long?

I have two syrian hamsters, a black and white teddy bear named Roy and a true Golden hamster named Bamboo. They’re brothers, Roy being the smarter of the two was also much smaller and so when they got old enough, Roy was a victim of many attacks from his brother. They were born about 4 months ago and I’ve had them for 3 months now.

They’re seperated now. Roy’s teeth look perfectly fine, not too long and he isn’t showing any health problems. Bamboo’s teeth however… I’ve given them lots of chew toys and products that say they’d help with the trimming of hamster teeth. But my Bamboo shows no interest in them and usually chews on them a little only if I delayed his meal. Is there something I can give him to make him chew more and trim his teeth? Or are there any other suggestions? I already know that a hamster with really long teeth is very bad and I treat all my pets (1 dog, 1 cat, and the two hamsters) like my own kids. So as a Mommy, I’m very worried.

they are too long because they always grown but giving them peanuts still in there shell helps with the teeth or hard dog cookies peanut butter flavor works best toilet paper tubes work too
