parents of little girls, can u recommend some little-girl toys for a oneyr old?

my daughters bday is coming up and i have no idea what one year old girls play with!!!she has grown out of all the baby toys.
i have a two yr old son and she is always all over his monster trucks but those arent cute little girl toys…..i’ve only been around boys, shes the only girl in the entire family….
what will make her eyes light up with glee?

I have two daughters and a son. My oldest, a daughter, never was exposed to “boy” toys prior to her brother being born because, of course, she was our first and was a girl. My youngest daughter is 18 months old now, and she LOVES playing with her brother’s cars. There is nothing wrong with that at all! There is a female monster truck operator-the truck she drives is pink. See if you can find a toy version of that.

Bubbles are a big hit with my daughter. You can even get them in girlish designs such as Disney Princesses or the Little Mermaid.

My daughter LOVES her wagon. Right now, she loves being pulled around in it, but when she gets older I am sure she will love pulling stuff around in it herself (like her older brother and sister did).

How about a doll stroller that she can push? She can push around a doll or teddy she already has, or you can purchase a doll and accessories for her.

How about a pretend kitchen set? It is actually quite educational as well.

Most of Fisher Price’s items, such as the Push Me Popper, Shape Sorter, Ring Stacker, etc. come in pink versions at Toys R Us. They even have a pink lawnmower bubble blower. You can get a pink outdoor swing as well.
