Wierd 1980s stuffed toy (furry puffball with glowing LED eyes and shrill noise)– what was this called?

In the mid to late 80s, my older sister got this odd plush stuffed toy. It was a light purple puffball, about the size of a football. It had tiny LED eyes, and no mouth or limbs to speak of. It took a 9 volt battery, and its eyes would glow (yellow or red) and it would emit a shrill eerie sound.
