Kids Toy Houses

how do I get my dog to stop chewing my kids toys? Mainly stuffed animals. He takes them from rooms & counter?

He is a 1 year old lab, has tons of chew toys, never stuffed animals. I give raw hides, tires, treats, balls, bones etc. he has run of the house and back yard and goes on walks every other day. He has also started chewing my carpet in the last 2 weeks which I think happened accidentally while chewing one of the kids toys.

Your question reveals the problem…”he has the run of the house…” You’ve got to curtail his free run of the house, which may entail taking more time and watching him closer, as well as crate training him…as well as putting things he shouldn’t have out of his reach….he’s gonna do whatever you give him lee-way to do, so it’s up to you to do what it takes to curtail what he’s doing that he shouldn’t. PS: There are obedience classes for dogs as well as classes for you on “how to be effective with maintaining your dog’s proper behavior. you’d be surprised how much of his behavior depends on your actions and behavior and your preventative actions on his behalf. Good Luck.
