Well, girls love Dora the Explorer, and boys love action figures. But there is something to say about the toys that siblings can share with their sisters, and vice versa. The way children spend most of their spare time is play, and if you can give your children some toys based on a common interest, can promote the exchange and playing together, which can strengthen the bond of brothers and make a home more harmonious.

One of the real obstacles to the brothers and sisters to play together is that most girls really do not mind Batman, and most children died would not be playing with Barbie dolls. Then they're not completely gender-neutral toys, like Legos. Legos generally tries to respond more towards children, the licensing of properties like Batman and Indiana Jones, but the basic premise of this toy has great appeal to children: build what we build. Defying his daughter and son to build a castle together can give interesting results, like a mansion with a ballroom and an armada of cannons and archers along the outside wall.

While the space adventure is primarily a child-centered genre, Star Wars really tends to attract both the children too. By providing the audience with a strong male protagonist Luke Skywalker, and a strong female character in Princess Leia, each child to see the film has someone to root for.

More recently we have seen electronic toys for boys and girls drop considerably prices due to the nature of the technology getting cheaper every day. You can buy a child a digital camera, laptop, toy or even a video camera for the price of dinner for one at the Olive Garden. By their nature, these are not gender-specific toys, but keep in mind that most children do not dare touch a camera pink and purple, while girls rarely have a problem with the blue.

That is something to remember, indeed. A lot of gender neutral toys are blue for boys and pink for girls. Children often hate pink but girls do not have to worry about being called a fag in school if they show up with a blue backpack.
