I need a recipe for breakfast for Christmas morning.?

For years I have made an egg casserole that is very good, but the family is getting tired of having the same thing. I would like to make something nice. but also, something that is easy and could be made (mostly) ahead of time. This is the first year that the kids are old enough that they are not getting toys for Christmas, so I would like to step breakfast up a bit and have a very nice meal.

Overnight Apple French Toast

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
mix and cook until thick… about 5 minutes. Pour into a 9×13 pan.
3 large tart apples
peel and slice thin—arrange in pan over sauce
3-4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp vanilla
whip together
9 slices of french bread-1″thick
dip into egg mixture, place over apples, cover and refrigerate overnight.
Next morning…
take out of the fridge 30 minutes before baking.
Bake uncovered at 350 degreees for at least 35 minutes.
to serve…
scoop and flip upside down on plate. Yummy!!!
