Am I cursed for taking the poster from Chris in 2nd grade?

In 2nd grade we had a “reward Friday” each week, where we got to choose a cheap toy from a “treasure box,” if we earned it. I was in line ahead of a kid named Chris, and he saw a poster of puppies and said, “I’m gonna get that for my mom!” Oddly, when I got up to the box, nothing else interested me, except that poster. After much delay, I slowly grabbed it out, prompting Chris’ reaction of dismay. The teacher calmed him down, didn’t say a word to me… Now I’m 26 and single, and I’ve had what I believe have been a few “close calls” at romance, but each time a guy will come and step right in front of me and take the girl. Is this a curse? I can’t track Chris down. His first and last name are super, super common. I can’t take losing these opportunities anymore!!!!
To this day, I have never been on a date. I would estimate my lost opportunities to be about 7 different girls. Each time, a guy came and swept her off her feet, and out of my life.

Oh my God. That’s crazy dude. But it’s probably just a coincidence. Relax, and ask a girl after making sure no other guys have their eye on her. That should break the “curse”
