toy recalls ?

OK first i want to say something then i`ll ask my question
why do we (USA) buy toys from china if most of them have high lead why cant we just make the toys here i don’t understand also about a month ago i took my daughter to her dr app and they said she had high lead in her blood so what do all of u do to make sure this dont happen again do u spend hours of the day looking online for recalls (i did) or test every toy they have

A lot of toys come from China because it is cheaper to have them manufactured there.

I try to check the toys when we buy (or not buy) them. I also consider whether this toy will be in their mouth or not. I do not spend hours checking online, I don’t have the time for that. I do get daily emails from CNN and other news sites, they usually include any info if there is a recall.

I think the key is to check before you buy or before you give it to your child (if it’s a gift, or something you didn’t buy). Constant monitoring is easier than trying to do it all at one time later.
