bath toys for kids
Is this just being overprotective?

There was an article on the front page of our local paper this morning that I personally found to be absolutely rediculous. It stated that parents should be wary of using bath toys when bathing young children because they have bacteria in them and young children have a habit of putting them in their mouth or squirting bath water into their mouth with them!!

Whatever happened to toddlers being able to explore their environment, eating a few bugs or mud pies or enjoying themselves in the bath.

Personally I feel that letting kids be exposed to a little bacteria is good for them as it helps build up their natural immunity and if we constantly setrilise their environment they will grow up to be hypersensitive to illness.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

Although, I am farely young, I absoloutely agree with you!
When my sister was younger, she would get sick all the time.
But now, she hasn’t been sick for atleast 2 years.
People are just way too worried and overprotective, come on, let the kids have some fun!
