Cool toys to start getting for an older baby?

Right now my son has a lot of toys, but some of them are really seeming outdated and for a littlier baby. I was wondering, once they hit the age before they are an official toddler, what kinds of toys were you looking into and buying?
I’m getting ready to go through them all and throw out the smaller baby ones, but I know it’s gonna diminish his toy supply and I would like great suggestions to what new toys I could replace the old ones with. What did/does your older baby like to play with?

My son loves anything cars! He loves animals and dinosaurs. I bought him a package from target with about 7 dinasaur figures and it has a play mat with a little scene. It has 2 or 3 smaller pieces in it but I will be taking those out before I wrap it for Christmas. I think anything in the toddler aisle they usually love. The clippo table is fun, Kai loves that oh and anything similar to a tricycle and books! They have versions for younger kiddos too. Good luck!
